FAQ
Who can request support from the Pour Project?
Because our goal is to contribute to a midterm Blue Wave and protect human rights and free and fair elections, we will prioritize Democratic candidates and campaign staffers, progressive organizers, and election protectors. If you’re not sure if you qualify, reach out and we’ll discuss.
What kinds of support are available?

Who makes up the Pour Project?
The Pour Project is a network of professional coaches, management and people experts, and experienced project managers who want to contribute our time, energy, and expertise to make a real difference in the 2026 midterm elections. The 2026 Pour Project is organized by Zach Perin and Kelly Harris Perin (yes, we’re married ❤️) and is an expansion of Kelly’s 2024 Blue Wave Coaching Pop-Up. We are grateful for the opportunity to leverage our professional community to support progressive efforts in our beloved swing state of North Carolina and nationwide.
How does the matching process work?
After the intake call, a Pour Project organizer will connect the campaign/organization partner with a Pour Project volunteer. After the engagement, volunteers and campaign/organization partners will share feedback on their experience. If volunteer capacity allows, campaigns/organizations can be matched with additional supports and volunteers.
What about confidentiality?
All Pour Project volunteers are vetted by the organizers and sign a non-disclosure agreement. In addition, executive coaches are bound by the International Coach Federation Code of Ethics. Still, we encourage campaign/organization staff to use discretion and refrain from sharing confidential or sensitive information with any volunteers.
What kind of organization is this? Do we need to follow campaign finance regulations?
The Pour Project is an all-volunteer organization (at least for now). We do not raise or distribute funds. Volunteers share their time on a pro bono basis and are not eligible for any reimbursements or in-kind compensation. Volunteers agree not to propose or accept paid work from any of their matched Pour Project organizations through November 2026. Administrative costs are covered by Kelly and Zach in loving memory of Kelly’s Grandma Shirley Harris, a lifelong activist who only missed voting once (because she was in the hospital having a baby).
Who drew the amazing logo for the Pour Project?
Our artist daughter Ella Harris Perin. Thanks!
